Candace Leach is a Licensed Midwife accredited by the Medical Board of California, as well as a nationally Certified Professional Midwife accredited by the North American Registry of Midwives, a Credentialed Waterbirth Provider through Waterbirth International, a Certified Childbirth Educator, a DONA Certified Birth Doula, a former Certified Postpartum Doula, a Certified Newborn Massage Instructor, a Certified Maternity Fitness Instructor, and a Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. Candace also hold certificates in Neonatal Resuscitation, CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers, Pregnancy Massage, Aromatherapy, and Chair Massage.

Candace has been involved in Women's Healthcare for over 22 years and began her path to midwifery in 1988, while working as a medical assistant at a women's clinic at the age of 18. Since then, Candace has dedicated herself to helping new mothers in every aspect of having a baby...from childbirth classes and professional labor and birth assistance to postpartum care and breastfeeding support. Candace began receiving her professional credentials in 1996 and has attended over 500 births, with clients ranging in ages from 14 to 54 years old (yes, 54!). She has also worked with thousands of families in preparing for pregnancy, labor, birth, breastfeeding, becoming new parents, and becoming big brothers and sisters. She has spent many years on staff as a perinatal educator at several local medical centers including Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, Los Alamitos Medical Center, and Anaheim General Hospital, to name a few. Candace is also a writer, a conference speaker, and has had articles and photos published in birth journals.

Candace lives in Southern California...in the same area where she was born and raised...the first born sister of 5 girls! Candace has been married for over 18 years, and... most importantly... is the blessed mother of both a daughter and a son!
